From the 2020 season, it is only allowed to hit with a bat with a USA approval during official matches for pupillen and aspiranten. Other bats can only be used during practice. In addition to the USA bats, junioren are also allowed to hit with a BBCOR bat with a maximum barrel of 2 5/8 inches. Wooden bats are also allowed.
